It may seem crazy to think that just a few years ago the laptop came into the spotlight as the newest style of computer. When it made its debut, many thought it would be something that was considered a fad and would most likely fade away with time. Little did we know, we were using tomorrows technology that would eventually be replaced by something smaller, light, powerful, and overall better.
A laptop allowed us to take our computer on trips with us and do our work on the road. It wasn't too big to be able to fit into a backpack or perhaps the front seat of our car to work with. It had a battery that even allowed it to be wireless. Later, we received the technology to use the internet at wireless hotspots. That became a huge thing at local cafe restaurants and shops. Not long after that, phone companies started offering data plans that allowed us the capability to use the internet from almost anywhere without the need of a hotspot. Overall, the laptop opened up a new word for compact and portability computers.
Today, we have the iPad that does just about anything and everything that a laptop can do. Obviously it needs some work, but with time it could be just as good as any other high-tech computer. It is even lighter than a laptop, has a longer battery life, totally wireless, and has so many apps that would allow you to do just about anything we want. Even laptop computers don't have access to apps like an iPad does.
Kinds in schools use laptops and computers which lead us to believe that they may soon be offering the use of iPads instead. They are indeed cheaper that laptops, light and pack a punch in technology. Classrooms may soon have their own apps for specific classes which also seems to be the technology of tomorrow.
